FEED SIDE

Open doors and remove platter

Place film on feed spindle (A). Film rolls off to form a nine ("9").

Wrap film under roller.

Feed film into coax roller

Push several inches of film into coax roller, just enough film to enter take-up side. Film should push through easily. If it does not, pull out and re-insert.

Replace platter on spindle, taking care not to catch platter under roller (B).

Take-up Side

NOTE: Take-up side can be loaded in daylight.

Remove platter from take-up spindle.

Pull 2 to 3 feet of stock out of coax roller (A).

Thread film under top roller (B) and under top sprocket drive (C).

Swing away each pinch roller arm (D) by depressing silver button. Arm will swing away from sprocket.

Secure perfs into sprocket drive and swing pinch roller arm back into position. An audible click will be heard when arm is locked in place.

Wrap film over top of bottom sprocket drive (E). Pinch roller arm must click into place, as in step 5.

Form a 15 perf loop (H). Perf measurement is determined by the number of perfs visible in nose when take-up doors are closed.

Wrap film under bottom roller (F).

9 Remaining film should be wrapped counter-clockwise, emulsion side in on a 3 inch core.
NOTE:
Only 3 inch cores can be used on take-up side!
10 Any slack in take-up side can be eliminated by gently holding bottom platter and turning the take-up core counter-clockwise.
11 Place platter back onto spindle, taking care to not hook platter under roller (F). See diagrams from feed side.
